Use Your Head And Shop For A Cause

With recession era guilt weighing you down farther than your gun metal studded vest, it may seem frivolous to spend a Saturday lazily traipsing through boutiques. But while clothing shopping may seem like the antithesis of do-gooding, the Soho Partnership's Use Your Head Boutique has found a way to enable the homeless, while letting you find designer duds at a discount.
It almost seems to good to be true, but Use Your Head Boutique, snugly nestled on 262 Mott street in Nolita, offers a great selection of designer and vintage pieces. Everything in the stores is donate which allows the proceeds to go back to the Soho Partnership. The Soho Partnership nourishes a four month long program that places the homeless in stable jobs while teaching them self sustainability.
By shopping at Use Your Head, you donate to the partnership. If that isn't enough of an incentive, the truly economic prices will be. a Christian Lacroix rainbow boucle blazer and skirt at a fraction of the cost. Creamy yellow and slate blue leather Marc by Marc Jacobs bags cost $200 less then Bergdorf's. The shop features a wide array of vintage, most of which is under fifty dollars.
So stop in, learn more about the Partnership and maybe you just might find that classic item to get you through these troubling times.
