I believe fashion is very influenced by cinema. Both work to insight fantasy in the viewer, to tell a unique story and ultimately to transport the viewer to a new reality. Like how a perfectly framed shot can evoke an array of emotions, a stunning garment can arouse deep pleasure. Often when I am creating a fashion collection I look for strong muses, and find myself turning to cinema. I have just recently watched John Luc Goddard's Breatheless. In this classic film, Jean Seberg plays the modern American woman, experimenting in the french life style. She is the sole obsession of Michel Poiccard (an uncanny performance by Jean Paul- Belmondo). Seberg perfects an aura of wisdom and playfulness. Her short coif draws attention to her engaging eyes and feline features. She is blithely honest and uncompromising in her quest for career and love. Goddard's choppy editing ( he actually took scissors to the roll of film) gives Breathless an urgency and realness to the character's interactions. Whether in a New York Herald Tribune T-shirt or a Dior new look dress, Seberg dazzles audience with her charm and candor.

I love this actress look, is so sophisticated yet classy. She has inspired me to go with the short hair, she is a real trend-setter of all times.
